My parents used to bring injured wildlife here from the time I was a kid in the 70's. I have brought wildlife here as well - too many times to count. Just this weekend in fact. It takes special people and volunteers to work in an atmosphere that sees never-ending patients. They are an invaluable organization, and I am so grateful they exist.

There was a really friendly staff that clearly cared a lot about the animals that were brought in, and were very informative to visitors. They were quick and efficient in getting the animals checked out and clearly had the best interests of the animals at heart. The facility, though pretty far out of the way, was clean and welcoming

I know they have been doing a commendable job of taking care of our wildlife with volunteers but having admitted a injured bird two weeks ago and not hearing a update regarding it is very disappointing.

They do great stuff and are good people, just don't expect them to give you an update. Ever. It's been three weeks and we've left four messages asking for an update on an injured animal we brought in. If it wasn't for the good nature of their work, they'd be getting 1 star because that level of customer relations is unacceptable. Why give out case numbers in the first place?

Should be called bird kill center ...not a "refuge" they kill most all of the birds brought in / horrid feel bad I figured it out after & they send boatloads of spam asking for donations pretending to be something there not. I'm sure the odd bird her n there gets lucky but very few live :/
