I was born and raised in Kelowna and have been here for over 50 years.Myself and my family have dealt with Mental health issues. My personal experience with Canadian Mental Health was terrible. When you are at Rock bottom you should not have to take on another fight to get help and the was my experience with CMHA .KGH on the other hand had programs called Life Skills and later the Pandosy house.I accredit these people to saving my life.If you really want to help stop suicide you need to adopt a system similar to AA where you have regular meetings with people who no the struggle personally and are sponsors. We use to have a Anxiety support group here in Kelowna that helped more people than CMHA ever will.Hopefully Foundry Kelowna will not just be another government sponsored group looking the part.
