Brantford Food Bank

I'm now starving in Brantford for the crime of being sick and in need here in Canada. At every step in the process of trying to receive assistance...lies abound....Lies about 'options', lies about services and lies about 'compassion'. On top of illnesses and emotional traumas, I'm now expected (with 'appreciation' and 'gratitude') to go hungry and without basics. When asking about meal programs, because the food supplied to those with allergies was not accommodated by these meal programs, I was simply shrugged-off and given a list of more food programs/banks. The poor and sick here in Brantford are treated like garbage...with inadequate housing, little to no transportation, no entertainment, no communication, NO LIFE. The poor are patently not 'served', but are instead used and abused by those wishing to make money off of their plight...because everyone knows that the poor and sick have no power or recourse. Our 'public-SERVANTS' make exponentially more than those they supposedly 'serve'...and those that are their 'masters' (the public). How does a servant go home and tell themselves they served their master when the master goes home without food...and other basics? The social contract is nothing but lies...and does not exist. The process of applying for options and 'services' is purposely fraught with impediments....impediments that are clearly known, but ignored or glossed-over...like finding physicians to sign papers for special health needs, diets, etc. Instead of the sick being cared for and held-up in their vulnerable time of need, they are instead held-back and left to their own limited devices (and the devices of those who would parasite off those who are vulnerable and desperate) ...and all so those 'professionals' 'helping' them can maintain their paychecks and perks while all-the-time saying they are there to serve and assist. It's clear that service now means serving one's-self, not those in desperate need. So this month I'll be starving because of the crime of being ill in Canada....and despite having suicide attempts in my history, depression, panic anxiety and other serious emotional issues based on past traumas, I'm now also expected to starve. It's abundantly CLEAR to me now that ALL those making money off the poor and sick...from 'professionals', public-servants and landlords..to physicians and garden -variety opportunists...are patently NOT there to serve anyone....BUT THEMSELVES and the status-quo. -Starving in Brantford.

I'm thankful for the food bank gives to people. If you are down on your luck, or just plan out of cash these people offer there help to who ever needs it. God bless
