Very Poor disgusting and sad. Your recent full page ads in newspaper seems hypocritical in my experience with one of your well educated and experienced doctor Avishay Pearl a respirologist use to practice at Trillium Health center in Mississauga 3 years ago. I am not sure or have knowledge about his practice or ethics but I had a sad experience with this Doctor in Sept 2011. He was in charge of My sister who was admitted in emergency and he was on duty at that time, initially he tried his best efforts to improve her breathing as according to him her lungs were congested, however he gave up on her very quickly in 3 days and without any consultation with any of his colleague of equal status and position he played God in ending my sisters life, in breach of hospital protocol. He told me she is not responding to medication and her kidney was functioning only 30% so there was no hope, so I told him not to torture her more by poking and proding, however after five minutes I asked him Is there any thing can be done ? then he says he can do something to save her life but he has to wait until after going to boardroom, what can be more urgent than a dying patient survival that was his primary job and oath and when I launched enquiry with the C O P S O, he dinied he said any thing like that and misled me that 30% kidney is deadly which I discovered after words that people live normal life even after only 16% kidney function, not for ever but death was not imminent, so he decided that 77 years old woman life was not worth saving, well she was my family and loved one and her life matter to me and my family as every patient life is and it was his duty and oath to do his best and he utterly failed and yet you put this full page ad that you care for patient first when you have such doctor in your midst. I hope he has saved some lives in his life time but certainly failed me and my sister, when we come to hospital we trust doctor with our lives and he failed to do that in my view so you should look in to your members if they all keep up to their oath and we see in newspaper how many are found criminally responsible and how professional body hides from public view what goes in darkness to protect bad apples among your midst. I also must add that this could be and probably is one of small isolated less that 1% cases as 99% doctors do care to save lives.
