Excellent service programs. It helps to have these services in the heart of the city, lifting stigmas. Remember people ; Mental Illness DOESN'T discriminate & DOESN'T give you a date .

I am a client at CMHA and I feel like there is nothing more that I need to feel fully accommodated.

My child had a bad experience with James (young man with glasses and a beard), a case manager at CMHA Durham that was working with my kid. Very smug, arrogant and a know-it-all. My child was not comfortable at all with his behaviour. Hire staff that are more down to earth and can relate more with the people you're supposed to be helping. Thank you.

I have been struggling with mental health issues for about the last 2 years and was finally hospitalizated recently. I guess I fell through the cracks at Lakeridge and was never set up with after hospitalization resources. Luckily I found this resource on my own and was told I should have had a visit while I was in Lakeridge. Anyways, the staff were so pleasant when I went into the Oshawa office a d they pointed me towards some programs that may be beneficial for someone in my situation. I haven't followed up on these yet as I'm waiting for some other appointments, but needed to share my good experience with going into the office. Thanks for the warm welcome.

I am proud to work for this organization. All CMHA Durham employees are very invested to the vision and are motivated to help people move forward. We are offered lots of training options, excellent benefits that include wellness days, and our CEO visits us regularly providing recognition and listens to our ideas for improvements. This is truly an amazing place to work.
