Terrible organization that would rather keep minority children trapped in failing public (government) schools so teachers unions can get dues, instead of allowing them to go to a better performing charter school/private school. Education is not about teachers unions, it's about students. Shame on them for not allowing our students to catch up to other countries, and shame on them for making stupid rules that lead to it being extremely difficult to fire bad teachers. I very much agree with the previous review. Also NEA may advocate for the cause of high-quality education, but they often do not ACHIEVE it.

The National Education Association is the membership! Everyone here is warm, friendly, welcoming, and generous with their time. As an educator, it feels good knowing that my membership manifests itself in trainings, leadership development, perfecting my craft in the classroom, and the ability to network with other awesome member educators like myself. Coming to the NEA Headquarters is like coming home.

The magazine this organization puts out is all about race baiting and making minority students feel like the country is out to get them. Terrible!
