Just did the walking tour about Fernie and the First World War and the internment of ‘enemy aliens’. The interpretative guide was excellent and full of local history. Learned lots and would love to do the other two tours about the fire and bootlegging. The museum itself is small but it has a wealth of information and the exhibits are well thought out and put together. Loved learning about the history of the area and lifting the high tech air pick. Can’t imagine beating a guy in an arm wrestling contest that lifts one of those things eight hours a day. Excellent place and I highly recommend the walking tour as well.

Nice museum, it covers the full history of Fernie. It is a small museum but the artifacts are well displayed and maintained. Make sure to go up the stairs to the second floor there's more to see up there.

Not your typical museum. You'll be entertained and amazed at the interactive displays in this small-town museum.
