Always love coming here and seeing the changes they made over the past few years. They have added a whole section on WWI and made up some mock trench systems with plenty of info on them. They have added quotes and poems along the walls of the trenches. Got to sit and watch the moon day cannon from inside for the first time. That was cool. Definitely a good place to go visit if you are visiting or even if you haven't been there in a while. The changes are worth it and the view is always awesome. Less than 20 bucks for two adults and parking for as long as you want. Definitely affordable too.

Loved it on a sunny cool Halifax afternoon. Please note: to really enjoy the "good parts" of the Citadel you should arrive with time on hand. Unfortunately we missed out on seeing the museum as they were closing. They could work on having some more narrative explanations along the different rooms (and garrisons); some light installations would make it easier to observe the articles from the era.

Wow where to begin. This was a fantastic place to visit for the day. My wife and I walked around the whole thing exploring everything. Everything was well done. From the firing of the cannons, the musket firing and demonstration and the bag pipes and drums where amazing to watch the and listen to. The army museum here is fantastic full of items and Information.

Enjoyed my visit here. Climbing hill is a workout in itself. Very steep. The Citadel is a very neat place located on top of a hill with view for miles. Neat structure and museum. You can easily spend a afternoon there.

Not to be missed place if you are in Halifax. Historic site on the highland overlooking to the waterfront. There is a cafe and souvenir shop on the first floor and Army Museum on the second floor. Have a chance to see routine change of guard on duty every hour, only at operating hours, and noon cannon firing. Worth visiting and recommend to spend at least one and a half to explore the place
