We really enjoyed our time. Combining the train ride with a tour of Big Valley was great. The scenery was nice and the little bits of historical information that they told us on the ride was interesting. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. My only complaint was the musical entertainer on the train ride back back. While his singing was good and he was very interactive he was NOT family appropriate. His jokes were for mature audiences (repeatedly referring to a grandmother from Saskatchewan as a cougar and jokes of a similar nature). He was also basically 'grinding' several female passenger. If this would have been an adult only show or if no children were present I wouldn't have cared but there was (he actually was great when he interacted with the kids on board). Other than this we had an amazing time.

Very well done and organized. The staff on board and during the dinner were fantastic. Train Robbery was a lot of fun. Too bad we did not have the steam train because it is going through inspection. Other than that it was an experience for sure. Big Valley had the steam and car show going on and that was fun.

My wife's family and I really enjoyed the train ride. Especially the open-air car and robbery. Could have used more time in big valley, the food & shops were good. Just wished we could have spent another hour ~ hour and a half more there to see the museums. Unfortunately I can only rate 3 stars cause the singer was extremely inappropriate for children and annoying af. If you see her coming into your car head to the bar or open-air car till she leaves.

Nice afternoon rumble down the tracks. Staff was friendly and fun. Lounge seemed fun, with live entertainment. Meal was better than expected.
