We loved our interactive tour at the wolf dog sanctuary, however be aware that if you want to actually interact with the wolf dogs you need to book in advance. The time frame of 45 minutes was the perfect amount and because we booked the noon tour we were able to also see them feed two of the wolves. The guide was very nice, soft spoken, witty and very patient. He had lots of knowledge to share with us and found a way to make it very interesting. In the gift shop they have a beautiful giant pure bred malamute who is incredibly friendly and very giant! Overall, a great experience! Thank you!

What an experience. Visiting from Australia with a love of wolves, it was fantastic to be able to do such a tour and get close and personal with the wolf dogs. Derek, our guide was so informative we could not get enough and then having the chance to feed and possibly pat the wolves (depended on the wolf) was wonderful. Would love to go back again.

Fantastic place to visit! We did the interactive tour and got to spend some time in the enclosures with a few packs, feeding treats and getting to actually touch them. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, answering every question thrown her way with a huge amount of detail and enthusiasm, she definitely enjoys her job! The wolfdogs are all unique individuals but we felt perfectly safe and were so happy as they got up the courage to get closer until they were literally eating from the palm of our hands. Totally worth a look!

We were enroute to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary for my mother's birthday and had to turn around due to really poor road conditions and a severe weather warning. We called to rebook our tour and were informed it was not possible. I understand that it was very last minute to reschedule but not an unreasonable request under the circumstances. Yes, Alberta weather is unpredictable but explain to me why we should be out $432 for something that we have no control over? We were not looking for a refund, we just wanted to pick a another day so we did not have to risk getting into an accident. After a lot of back and forth with someone over the phone, they finally agreed to call the director and see what could be done. When I called back for an update, I was informed we could reschedule or get a refund, I hung up so everyone in our party could agree on a new date and called back. When I called back with our new date I was now told they could not reschedule our tour. I was then told the sanctuary managed to resell 6 of the of the 8 tickets we bought so we could be getting a refund for 6 of the tickets but not the remaining 2 tickets that didn't sell. I don't know how many times I stressed that we don't want a refund, we just want to reschedule. Because of your no refund policy, you have lost money. If we had just been able to reschedule due to circumstances beyond our control, you still would have sold 6 of the 8 tickets today plus, you would still have all our money and all of the supplies we were bringing to donate.

We will be back - our visit to the sanctuary was incredible. Our guide Robyn on the interactive tour was fantastic, she was friendly and so knowledgeable a true pleasure . The sanctuary itself is a beautiful, well set up and amazing place. There is so much too see not just the wolfdogs but the other animals that have been rescued . I highly recommend a visit - you won't be disappointed
