A feast for the eyes! Maligne lake in British Colombia Canada is beautiful! Take a cruise in this lake with its pristine glacial blue waters surrounded by mysterious mountains along with snow covered peaks and glacial remains in the distance. This lake hosts the famed spirit island in the middle of this vast lake. Spirit island is truly a small peninsula jutting out into the lake with million dollar views. A sense of calm envelops you here. Definitely a must see!

A great spot for taking in the canyon. There are seven Bridges to enjoy the view from at your own pace. There are plenty of spaces to take pictures and to rest and relax between the hike. Definitely wear good hiking shoes as there is slippery rock in some places due to the water. The first few bridges are closer together for a shorter hike. Do take water bottles with you and use the restroom before starting the journey.

We had already been impressed with Maligne Lake, so upon leaving there we stopped at the canyon. Its just 12-miles outside of Jasper along Maligne Lake Road, and you might even see some wildlife along the shoulders. Maligne Canyon is the place where the Maligne River goes underground. Some bio-dye studies have shown that the underground passages are more extensive than first thought. The canyon is deep at about 160 feet, but narrows down to just 6.5 feet, and the river pours through some very narrow places. The trail is easy and the sights make this trip very worthwhile. There is free parking, as well.

Such a wonderful hike! Not too difficult but fun and interesting terrain. The sights are just simply breathtaking! If you're anywhere near Jasper, you've got to stop here and spend a couple hours walking from the parking lot to Fifth Bridge and back. It's about 5 minutes off the main road. If someone is going to stay with the car, you could have them instead drive it to Sixth Bridge and make it a one way 2 hour hike (wish I had that option).

Been here a few times now, it has some great hiking and walking trails and of course spectacular views of waterfalls, rivers and interesting rock beds. Huge tourist attraction. There is a somewhat medium sized parking lot, and some washrooms. Do wear comfortable footwear that have some traction, since some areas are hard to navigate. But all in all a great place to stop and visit.
