Campbell Hills Guest Ranch was the best place we could have chosen to end our holidays in British Columbia. The peace and quiet, the beautiful surroundings and the warm welcome we received made us feel at home immediately. We enjoyed our stylishly furnished room with the huge and comfortable bed, the generously equipped common space, the large terrace with its wonderful views, the gazebo, the hammocks in the garden, the hike to “Honeymoon Hill” with its fantastic view, as well as the delicious meals which we had on the terrace and at the long table in the "Wild Horse Saloon" together with Bernadette, the volunteers and the other guests. The most amazing part was learning about natural horsemanship from Bernadette on the trail rides along the lakes, through the woods and the hilly terrain! My non-riding husband was fascinated by the book "The Soul of a Horse" by Joe Camp, which Bernadette had lent him and which he could not stop talking about. There is so much to learn from natural horsemanship, not only with regard to how we should treat and communicate with horses, but with regard to interpersonal relationships! I already ordered two of Joe Camp’s books online … A huge thank you to Bernadette and Martin for this unique experience, and also to the volunteers who were very sociable and always happy to assist in any way possible. You could tell that they really loved their work, be it in the kitchen, on the premises or as assistant wranglers. If you are a nature and horse lover, you should definitely have this ranch on your bucket list!

Campbell Hills Guest Ranch is a stunning holiday destination. The Ranch itself is beautifully decorated and authentic. The owners Bernadette and Martin are a wonderful team. Martin's food is homecooked and delicious. Also a great range of local beers and wine. Bernie has amazing Natural Horsemanship Skills and is a great trainer. The herd of 26 horses are healthy and happy and very well cared for. As a rider with an English background, learning Western and Natural Horsemanship was life changing for me. It is quite amazing the connection and bond you form with your horse when you learn to speak their language!! I would highly recommend this ranch for all levels of rider. I am now bringing Natural Horsemanship back to my own horse in Ireland! The trails, lake views and wildlife are also breathtaking here.

This Place is just amazing. Bernadette and Martin who own this place make you feel home every minute. Beautiful rooms with every little detail well thought out. Amazing food which is all fresh prepaid by Martin in the kitchen and an amazing staff who makes you're stay even more perfect. Bernadette tries to fit you to the perfect horse for you and make you feel comfortable in every way. You can really tell how happy the horses are and how willing they are to give you something in return. Like me, many people come here, only ridden in an arena or with bits before. This place offers you a new experience to get to know these animals and yourself better. All horses a trained in the natural horsemanship way and without any bits. You learn how to understand every sign you're horse gives you and how you build up more trust and confidence. Berndette and Martin poured all they heart in this little magical place. Highly highly recommend it!!
