This place is absolutely beautiful. If you need serene beauty and want to surround yourself with beautiful nature, come here. It was so mindful and relaxing. Wish I lived close by. I would be here everyday. So beautiful.

So many birds. We went in May which was probably the heron breeding season. We saw so many herons in their big nests. Plenty of small colorful birds and eagles too. A birdwatchers paradise. May is the best time to go as the trees are still leafless which makes spotting birds easy.

Until I took kids for a field trip I had no clue our area has a nature reserve. It's a very beautiful spot to observe nature and imagine what some parts of the Sumas flats looked like before the lake was removed. My only suggestion that they develope a few interpretive displays for children. The preschool field trip was lacking activities that would better help them understand some of the simple wonders of the nature around them. Nice parts though: great place to observe beavers at work and various birds including waterfowl. Nice for walks

Awesome place... good hiking, great in the spring when the colony is active. Nice interpretive centre and gift shop.

Great place to visit all year round. So many different species of birds. A bird lover's paradise.
