Excellent local museum. Very well administered, curated and supported by the local community. Collaboration with tourist information makes this a "go to spot" of you are in the area. First class gift shop and book store! Well worth a visit.

Interesting, small museum about the Sooke Region. Learn about logging and the past of this small, seaside town. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you are here in the summer months on a Thursday evening take in the market with local vendors and food trucks. Good vibes.

Great advice for hiking in the Sooke area and a really great gift shop with a nice selection of First Nation gifts. They can go over the local hikes and sightseeing items. My only issue was that they didn't let us know that part of the potholes trail was closed and we had to move our car. This can be tricky when the park is crowded. Go early there are less people.

Nice little musuem and gift shop. Not lots of information regarding the timeline of the Sooke area but interesting historical artifacts and articles from the time. Art gallery upstairs is not always a gallery and may or may not have art. Gift shop has lots of options for tourists or locals looking for something to send their friends.

If you're new to the area, a must stop. I have to admit I stop whenever I pass through. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoy the selection of books emphasizing Canadian west coast history. The museum is informative and will be of interest to all ages
