Easy hiking. Pass by the top of the trail, it gives you 15 minutes to reach the water falls by the top. It's very nice, you need to escalate a bit but that's fine even for kids. If you go by the bottom you reach a first little water falls, you can go up by a left side and you reach in 10 minutes or so, the big water falls. So nice to be there and have a rest very close.

Although the stairs down to the falls at the beginning of the trail are currently closed, there is still plenty to see and hike! You can also trace the river/stream up the waterfalls and see them from the top, as well as the headwaters.

Pretty waterfalls, but nothing spectacular. Some parts of the creek are swimmable, though the water was still very cold in late June. It didn't look like there was any safe places for cliff jumping either. The trail is currently closed due to overwash and general instability, in part from last year's forest fire. You can easily get around the fence, but the signs warn of a $500 fine for doing so. Parts of the trail have clearly been damaged as people have struggled to continue to the second waterfall (the higher one). There wasn't very much garbage on the trail, though we did see a couple condom wrappers. There were also at least a dozen teenagers on the trail while we were there.

It was a difficult walk due to overwash but it had nice views and was not dangerous.

Happy with all the improvements that went it! Don't let the "Trails not maintained" sign scare you. There is not two metal stair cases to make this more accessible. A quick little hike with a cute little water fall in the middle of the mission. There's option to keep going as well if you wanted to make it a longer trip. A bit of climbing and you can sit on top of the falls or continue on!
