What a lovely spot to have in our community! Why go all the way to Vancouver to be near the water when you have pier closer to home? Lined with cozy coffee shops, ice cream shops, and restaurants. It's not very busy, and a perfect place to take a stroll with a loved one, a loved pet or with you're lovely self😁. And they're building a small outdoor amphitheater presumably for future performances.

The White Rock Pier (and associated waterfront area) is a bustling place in the summer, especially leading up to, and after sunset. Hip and vibrant, you ~will~ see kids and octogenarians, but the vast majority are younger people and groups. Along the Pier itself (the subject of this review), you'll find a lot of people strolling, a few swimming near the far end, the occasional crab-fisher, and sometimes even fishermen. The wooden Pier is kept in good repair, and features bench seats along it's length. Nighttime illumination adds to the ambience. The downside to all this goodness: parking. Maybe I feel it more (having lived in the area since 1990's) because parking was once free and easy; but now, it's common to search for 30min or more, and pay $6.50 for 4hrs. All-in-all, the White Rock Pier is an enjoyable destination for a few hours - a sentiment shared by many!

I love this place. Great spot to go for a run or long walk. Friendly people everywhere you go. Lots of great businesses and restaurants to visit. Beautiful scenery day or night. Just a few minutes drive to the Canada/USA border.

It is a nice place to walk with no reason. Just enjoy the sea wind and listen to the sea meow talking. Sit on the beach for a while, feel the silence. Cleaning up the mind. Gran an icecream, have some seafood and wine. What a relax and wonderful holiday.

White Rock is an awesome, adorable little beach side town. I have been coming here since I was a kid and it’s always very relaxing to walk along the water and take in the smell of salt air. We also love to bring the kids here because when the tide is out, there are tide pools with many treasures in them. Because it’s a bay, the water is usually quite warm and lovely for swimming. There are a lot of places to eat, shop, and get gelato or ice cream (Crazy Cow is awesome). The fish and chips scene is great, too! We also enjoy walking along the pier and looking at the boats. You can also find people jumping off the end of the pier in the summer when it’s hot. Parking is always a bit of a chore, but if you circle around enough you can always find a spot. It just takes a little bit of patience! There are public restrooms located along the beach with foot washing stations. The kids also enjoy it when I train comes through and they can count the train cars. Sometimes you can spot wildlife out in the water. There are events in the summer for all ages. All in all, it’s a great spot for a sunny day with family and a picnic. We take family and friends here when they visit.
