BC Ferries Terminal on Mayne Island It’s what you’d expect from a ferry terminal. The ferry workers tend to be a bit more relaxed than many, probably due to their island living. The lineup parking is quite steep, so make sure your parking brake is firmly set. If you arrive early, (and you should always arrive early for the ferry), take a break on the beautiful beach to the right of the parking area. It’s only accessible from inside the terminal, so you don’t have to keep your ticket handy. For inclement weather, there is also a covered walkway, a heated waiting room, and flush toilets. On weekends there is a small food stand with great options.

Nice little Gulf Islands Ferry Terminal with convenient beach access in the lower right hand side. The Village Fare restaurant??? Is a definite must try. The schnitzel burger was delicious. So was the pulled pork. So was the meat pie.

Steep hill, hot and treeless parking lot, full of cars, basic amenities only, regular delays in ferry arrivals and departures. On the other hand, it's the only way to get on and off the island. So that's sweet. Also, beach access!

The ferry is on time, clean and nice staff. Reasonable price for the fare.

It's a ferry terminal. Nice if you want to get on or off a ferry, otherwise unlikely to be a crowd pleaser.
