A fantastic, free exhibit to visit if you’re near Woody Point. The views are stunning, these are worth the stop here alone. Great kids area with lots of activities for them. We had driven for about an hour so this was a welcome break for the kids to explore! The exhibit has some great information about the local environment, aimed at all ages so it will keep everyone interested. There is a cafe and gift shop too, ample parking and restrooms.

Lovely place to look at the birds. We arrived 10 minutes before the discovery centre closed but a lovely person gave us a pamphlet, some helpful tips, pointed out where the washrooms were and sent us on our way. It was great. And we saw so many birds that we could id because of her help

Gros Morne is a stunning park! At the Discovery Centre, it was possible to get a schedule of hikes/parks where there were National Park Interpreters. Don't miss them. They are great! We did the Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse, Tablelands and Green Point. All were amazing and really helped us discover the best aspects of the Park.

The best part of this visit was listening to Bonnie Lou of Parks Canada for 2 hours talking about life in the early 1900s, Newfoundland's history, culture, language, politics, etc. She has encyclopedic knowledge of Newfoundland. I could have listened to her for another 3 hours. It was a highlight of my visit to Gros Morne.

This is a great stop. The information that is here makes the park all that much more fascinating. There is also a short trail with a good lookout point.
