This place is one of my favourite memories from my trip to PEI. We visited many lighthouses and many of them look the same. At Point Prim you can actually climb up through all the levels where they have it set up like a working lighthouse. You climb the steep stairs all the way to the top where you see the new light and a great view as far as the eye can see. The interpreter's are awesome really know their stuff. Should definitely stop at Point Prim when on PEI. It does cost a few dollars to go into the lighthouse but well worth it.

If you are only going to visit one lighthouse on PEI, then make it Point Prim! This place is absolutely enchanting. This is the oldest lighthouse on the island, but it has been spectacularly preserved. If you love history and or lighthouses in general, this is the place for you. If you just like to see very pretty places, then once again, this is the place for you.

A very peaceful place with no houses nearby the lighthouse. Very few restaurants, i encountered only one few distance from the lighthouse. Water does not look suitable for swimming. Warning ⚠ signs are posted. It is a cool spot to enjoy the ocean view. The landscape is very beautiful.

Nice looking lighthouse. Walking outside is free, to go into the lighthouse there is a fee. The lighthouse store has a nice bathroom. If you are hungry make sure to visit Point Prim Chowder House which a stone throw away. They have best tasting lobster rolls I ever had, and I had a lot of them....

Cool location with a lot of preserved history. The $5/head to go into and up to the top of the lighthouse is a pittance for the experience. The staff manning the entrance of the lighthouse are full of interesting facts as well. The gift shop has some actual art of quality and more neat artifacts.
