We have been traveling to the UP 5 or 6 times a year since 2007. We always find new adventures today we took our dogs here and loved it. We didn't see a bear but others on the trolley did but we didn't expect to either. They are wild so they come and go at their leisure. The riverboat ride was relaxing and wonderful. We didn't partake in the food but it smelled amazing. The snacks were reasonably priced for the area and the staff was great. The hike was not difficult for us but we are use to hiking, it was however hard for some on the tour. It was nice to see a different perspective of the Falls. Anyway thanks for a wonderful time.

After years of wondering what this place was, I finally decided to check it out. First, drive the long driveway to the depot. Park and go in the building to get your ticket. You board a small train which takes you to the dock where you board a riverboat. The boat travels quietly down the river to the falls. They dock and you are given plenty of time to depart the boat and walk to the falls. You then return back the same way you came. They offer tons of seating, food, drink and restrooms. The round trip is about 5 hours. I would do it again.

If you like looking at trees and more trees and water this is for you. 45 minute train ride through trees. 2 hour boat ride. 20 minute walk to falls. You only get about 20 minutes at the falls then turn around and do it all again. We enjoyed falls better when we went ourselves and parked and walked each 1 of them

What a great tour. Our captain was most knowledgeable and shared many little known facts about Michigan as well as pointing out many points of interest along the river and telling us all about the falls. A very informative relaxing tour.

We were EXTREMELY SADDENED & DISAPPOINTED with this day. First of all, a VERY SLOW trolley train through the woods to the boat. Bring a pillow. Then we get on a nice boat that was WAY TOO SLOW up the river towards the falls. Upon arriving, we had to walk 3/4 of a mile uphill to see the falls. When we got to the top, the view was 85 percent BLOCKED by the trees! Then back on the boat & train for a SLOW RIDE back to our cars. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO THE UPPER FALLS PARK! A lot cheaper for a REAL VIEW!! We have fond memories of the Falls but not from this time.
