Great spot to get a good view of the Confederation bridge. The gift shop was well stock and the location has a nice cafeteria too. There's a few short walks you can do there and ample parking. I believe the parking fee was $2, but nobody was there to collect the money.

Excellent view of Confederation Bridge. The interpretive Center has a lot of history that I haven't seen other places especially about the ice boats and the fact that Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia were once joined by a land bridge. Since there is no Public Funding there is a $2 charge for parking at interpretive Center/ restaurant/lookout but there is free parking across the street. The center uses all sustainable energy (geothermal, grey water wind turbine, solar etc). Well worth the time to stop.

I was here with my 11 and 5 year old grandchildren and we had a wonderful time exploring and learning about the area. The interactive displays were a big hit. From birds to ice boats and old farms, there was a little bit of everything. Due to the weather, we were unable to get up the observation tower, but we will be back for another visit next year. I would very much recommend the center as a stop any time of the year.

Really nice spot to stop and look around. Beautiful view and nice trails and informative displays. Also, if you have kids it's the last pee break on the way to PEI. So that's a 12 minute drive across the water without stopping. Keep that in mind.

I love this spot. Whenever I go back to the maritimes I try and get here. Firstly, the clam chowder is AMAZING! The interpretive center has really become quite the attraction and the hikes are relaxing. Worth a stop for sure. Wish we could have stayed longer.
