Staff was very friendly and accommodating, but I was not impressed with the optometrists. I've worn contacts in the past with no issues and my prescription (for both they and eyeglasses) has barely changed in seven years. After a total of five consecutive visits to fit contacts, ordering different ones, etc. and every time an hour out of my day, I was essentially told "that's as good as it's going to get." Found a new practice in Greenfield, two visits- one for an exam and fitting, one to pick up the contacts I ordered, and here I sit now with perfect vision. I'll never be going back.

Dr. Cotter and his amazing staff are the best in the area! If you are looking for a new eye doctor I would highly recommend Brattleboro Family Eye Care.

They advertise with my vision plan that they’re taking new patients, yet refused to see me for a diabetic eye exam and prescription glasses. They told me on the phone that they are too busy to take on any new patients at all-unless I have family that are customers. They refused even to see me for a one-time diabetic eye exam, because I don’t have family in the area that use their business. Discrimination like this is inexcusable. It’s discriminatory, elitist, and contrary to the Hippocratic oath.

Always extremely professional, friendly, helpful. The staff and doctor remember what is going on with my eyes from year to year, and are very supportive with my degenerative condition. Excellent help choosing frames! (Always helpful since I can't see the frames without my glasses on....) I would - and do - recommend Dr. Cotter and his staff unreservedly. Have been with the office since ... wow. Forever really, as I was an "inherited" patient from Dr. Revilla. So, as long as Dr. Cotter has been there, I've stayed and have always had terrific eye care.

Highly recommend them. The staff was very warm and friendly, and Dr. Cotter was very knowledgeable and helpful. In addition, when the pharmacy messed up the prescription, Dr. Cotter went above and beyond to assist with the matter and get it sorted out. All in all, very professional and pleasant.
