Awful experience with staff. Went there twice. First time just to try a couple of pairs of sunglasses. Loved one pair. Hesitated. And came back a second time to buy them. No Hi, no Hello. Asked to remove the security to try them properly. No eye contact. No smile. No "sure". Handed the pair back to me. I tried them and went to say I would like to buy them and started to ask whether I could have another pair than the display ones. The salesperson replied instantly (and still without looking at me) "It's the only one". Well I confirmed I wanted them. Paid. From that moment, I was looking for a thank you or something. Nothing. I left. No in summary I bought them a pair of £220 sunglasses, in 5 min, with no fuss, no assistance required, nothing. And did not even get a thank you.

I bought my first pair of lens here and the experience was good. 10% discount for student. The eye test was fast and accurate.

Such as shame. Lovely friendly staff. But their policy of not giving 'patients/customers' their inter-pupillary distance to discourage them from purchasing new lenses online is a black mark against their brand. Clearly they are not interested in allowing their patients/customers to make their own choices. I challenge someone from David Clulow to give a reason why they won't share this information, which technically is the right of the patient/customer. Is it not part of the eye exam?

I cannot recommend highly enough, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable, very helpful and more than accommodating. Lovely range of glasses and speedy service is exactly what we need in the city.
