I attended this location for a manicure on November 14, 2015. It was scheduled to start at 1:00 PM and I called ahead to specify I was on a time crunch to ensure it could start at the time I booked it for. Despite this request for the appointment to be on time, my nail services did not start until 1:30 PM. When I entered the building I was not greeted for a long time despite two staff members seeing me. They continued to discuss their personal relationship issues in front of me until one passed me client profile paperwork and a waiver to sign. However, the papers she gave me were the personal file of someone else that included private details pertaining to their health status. Ten minutes later someone else came out and gave me new paperwork. When my nail appointment finally started I was greeted by a very unpleasant, rude and unhygienic woman. She did not shake my hand or introduce herself. She walked into the room and reluctantly sat down with a very poor attitude. The energy was the most toxic I have ever been around. Her hands were dirty (I could literally see the dirt in them and in her nails). During my manicure, she regularly stopped to chip and pick at her nails. It was awful. In between hands, she would regularly reach into her bra and pull out her Iphone and check messages and text. I was literally in shock of this behaviour and have never experienced such poor customer service or unhygienic behaviour. Her clothes were also dirty and her hair a dishevelled mess. The nail polish used was very old and sticky and left very attractive brush strokes. While applying, my nail tech said that his nail polish was garbage and needed to be thrown out. However, she still chose to apply it despite the undesirable appearance it left. My nail tech regularly made mistakes and had to wipe off the nail and then start over. On occasion she would say swear words under her breath when this happened. I was late for my meeting that afternoon as a result of this horrible experience. To make matters worse, while waiting for my nails to dry my nail tech was asked by the supervising instructor (who did not actually supervise as she was doing someone else's nails) to clean her station and sanitize her tools before she left. My nail tech had the nerve to say "no" and that she would do it on Monday. Her reasoning was that she wanted to be out of there by 2 PM but was forced to stay to do MY NAILS. She complained about having to do my manicure while sitting right in front of me. I run an Edmonton based organic skincare line, holistic health blog and green beauty website. I absolutely recommend that no one else risk their health and well-being by attending such a horrible organization that passes students without exception despite their very poor nail technician abilities, poor hygiene, refusal to clean tools and exceptionally poor customer service. Stay far, far away!

attended this school and it was a complete joke. At the end of my course i had to pay a hidden fee of 1000 or i was not going to receive my diploma. Of course i didnt pay and i was never contacted after about my praticum. Worst 8 grand i could have spent.

Purchased an online coupon for CMAC for a 30 min express pedicure and 30 min express manicure. I understand the services are done by students, but my experience was terrible. I was there for a total of over 3 hours. The student was unprepared and kept needing to stop to get more supplies. She was extremely slow despite getting help from other students, no one was supervising the work, and at the end my shellac fingernails were so poorly done that I paid to get them redone the next day. I got an apology only after the instructor came down and apologized. Despite the offer of free services, I will not be going back.

I'm a pervious student from CMAC. All I have to say is, stay far away from this school!! All that they want is your money, so many hidden cost. They don't care about they're students one bit.... 1). They're teachers don't have teaching degrees, & they don't know how to teach properly. 2). They aren't professional, between the way "teachers/instructors" dress, how they're organized & run things. 3). The place is dirty, & the building has major un-safety hazards. Here's my experience with CMAC, I finished my course in the beginning of March, after my last test & practicum I was told I'd be getting an email in about a week with my marks on my finals, practicums & my final mark in the class. It's been almost 3 months after, numerous phone calls & emails, I've yet to receive anything. When I went back to the school to pick up my diploma, kit & supplies, I was told I have to pay an extra $700 just to receive my diploma!! After refusing to pay yet another hidden cost, they now won't answer my emails or phone calls & ive yet to receive my diploma, that I deserve. They don't care about they're students, once they have your money it's on to the next victim. Not to mention the course is ridiculously highly priced for what you learn in the class. Save your money. Just go on YouTube. I probably learn more there then in class. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!!
