My experience at the Big Optician recently was superb. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful, making the process of getting new glasses so smooth & easy. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you 🙏🏼🌟

I contacted The Big Optician for an appointment and was offered one the very next day! I was warmly welcomed and seen quickly for a comprehensive eye scan (worth the very reasonable cost in my opinion) and was taken through for the vision test quickly. I explained that I needed the cheapest possible pair of glasses which was accommodated without issue and there was absolutely no pressure to upsell to more expensive frames or fancy lenses. Very, very impressed with the service!

Our family have been going to The Big Optician for many years for tests, contact lenses and spectacles. All of the staff are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I visited recently with an eye infection and after checking my eyes it was noted that the pressures were high, the Optician immediately rang the eye department at the RVI and I had an appointment the next day. Luckily everything was fine but I was so grateful for the swift response.

Decided to go to big opticians as my partner and his family use them, he said they have a good selection and the staff are really friendly. There was a lot of different brands, however, they weren’t to my taste. Had the routine eye test which was straight forward. After I told the optician that I didn’t really like any of the glasses, she tried to help by suggesting some brands, I explained my preferences and that id previously had Marc Jacob’s glasses, she said “that’s too low end for here”. I went to the till to pay for my eye exam, she was rude about me when talking to the member of staff. “She’s not getting any glasses, she wants them big but not a thick frame, so I don’t even know what she wants” in a sharp tone. I feel like it could have been approached in a different way. I had the full intention of buying a new pair, I was more frustrated that I didn’t leave with a new pair. Now, I’m happy I didn’t buy anything from there.

Every time I go to The Big Optician I am greeted with a very warm welcome. Whether it is a phone call or a personal visit everyone there goes out of their way to answer my questions and explain everything to me. To summarise: A lovely welcome, everything explained and VERY competitive prices - what more can you ask for?
