I stopped by without an appointment to fix my glasses, which were missing a screw. They fixed it for me and cleaned the lenses at no charge. Very friendly, and they also had a good selection of frames at the store.

I have been a customer here for over 20 years. They have always taken great care of me. They' stand behind their Glasses and have had to replace certain pairs few times always at NO CHARGE. I had a gift certificate for Stanton Optical few years ago. That was the only time I went someplace else and never again. Gary his staff and especially Dr Kaum are wonderful. Thanks for you many years experience and great customer service. Dan P. Grand Island NY

PLEASE READ and consider carefully whether they are worth your business. I brought in my newly bought Oakley sunglasses to put in prescription lens at this place. First problem was that they didn't measure the focus area properly and so I ended up coming back again to do it all over again. Everything was fine up to this point. It could happen and since they told me they can do it again I was fine with it. Few days later, they got a new lens in to redo the sunglasses, but a bigger problem was that one of the worker overheated the frame and melted it, and it broke off. Well, it's understandable and things like this could happen. Now, this is where everything started going wrong. First of all, he wasn't sorry for what had happened. He just acted like it can be replaced and I can just wait. I want to emphasize that this employee wasn't sorry for the unprofessional mistake on their part. Ok, so maybe this employee is just very unprofessional, not happy but understandable. They told me they would replace the frame and that they have to order it online. So I waited for two week. On the first week of waiting I called in and they told me the order is being processed. So I waited one more week and called in again. They told me the same thing. And they said it could possibly be delivered that day. Well, it didn't. So I dropped by and asked for the order details. After I got the order number I called in Oakley (this is where they ordered it) and they told me the order is being processed. But here's where things go even more wrong. It turns out that the actual order was placed on the day that I called in for the second time (almost two week after what had happened!!). This means he basically lied to me about the whole order process. What's more surprising is that, in order to save some money on their part, they didn't place the order for the exact model they broke. But they ordered a custom frame that matches only the colors of the frame. Hmm.... now they're really testing my patience. They tell me they've been in this business for over 20 years but with this kind of business practice I seriously wonder how they've managed to be in it for so long. Oh, perhaps, the only reason is that this is the only optician in Lewiston. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. There are plenty of reputable ones if you can drive 10-15 from this place. AT LEAST IT CAN'T BE WORSE THAN THIS PLACE. I would give it a negative rating if I can.
