Have had a wonderfull experience today at the David Clulow Opticians at Harrods. I called them on Friday evening and got offered to eye sight appointment for Sunday. I turned up bang on my appointment time and walked straight in with no waiting. The staff were all excellent and couldn't be more helpfull. The optician herself was absolutely lovely and very professional. They didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need which was a nice change from other opticians that I've been to. I needed some new specs and the Italian sales lady (Sorry I didn't get her name) was so helpful in finding the perfect pair of glasses for me. Would absolutely recommend this opticians to anyone if they want a very professional service and a great selection of high end glasses.

My wife had a pair of glasses made a year and a half ago at a cost of £600. Two weeks ago they broke in half for no obvious reason. She went back to David Clulow in Harrods and was told that as they were more than a year old she would have to pay for a new frame. The receptionist was completely unsympathetic and 'robot' like. She refused to call an optician when asked. There was obviously a manufacturing defect and I think it's disgusting that they are asking for more money. A glasses frame should last more than a year and a half. The company need to train their staff properly in customer service as right now it sucks. The Company should show some humanity also admit responsibility when something goes wrong rather than sticking to the letter of the law. I would urge people to stay away from David Clulow as you will end up being very disappointed.

Waited for my appointment for 2 weeks only to find out that it was scheduled for a different time than in my diary meaning that I missed it. No text messages, no phone calls confirming the appointment. I might be needing an eye check, but not a memory check.
