I purchased a PD (pupil distance) measure and received a result. The number was considerably different than previously, so I doubted it - it could be wrong or it could be right. I went to two optometrists in Edmonton, and received measurements much different from Generations (but closer to each other). When I called Generations to verify the results, they said that they would not discuss them over the phone, even though they verified my identity and I had paid for the measurements. I would have to drive 50 Km to talk to them, and even then I don't know what information I would receive. What worries me is that if I had glasses made to the dimensions given by Generations, and they would be wrong, the $800 cost of the glasses would be wasted. I believe they should have been more helpful as this measurement is important. As a result, I didn't have the eye exam at Generations, and I certainly won't purchase my glasses there.

I love this place. They have a wide range of styled glasses that could fit a lot of different personalities. I love that all the staff has glasses and they all look cute in them. Makes me feel like I'll be fine in glasses too. And when they fit me for mine, I could tell they really care about my comfort. Probably because they themselves understand how uncomfortable glasses could be if not fitted properly. Dr. Al-Bekai is just as caring. He really strives to make your life better by helping you see the best you can. My eyes keep staining, so I could have two different results in one eye exam. It's frustrating. I don't want to go home with a prescription that doesn't work. But Dr.Al-Bekai would check, check and recheck to ensure I left with the best option for me, putting me at ease. And I haven't been disappointed. I leave there with improved sight, everytime. :) I wouldn't go anywhere else.
