Recently moved to the city and I was looking for a new Optometrist for my son as he was due to update his glasses. I am very weary of who touches his eyes as they are very sensitive. After doing some research online I decided to come to IRIS. Let me tell you, from the moment we stepped into the store we were treated like royalty. The staff is so pleasant. You can really tell they're happy to be working there and take pride in their job. My son's eye exam went great. The doctor was very nice and thorough. I had lots of questions as my son's eyes are complicated and she was very patient with us. After the eye exam, their optrician sat down with us and explained the different lens options. He was very knowledgeable and I liked the fact that he gave us different lens options, and let us decide on what to get instead of being aggressive like some other places I've been to in the past. Their prices are pretty standard in this area, and reflect what they carry, which is better quality frames and lenses. The service and staff knowledge definitely justifies the price of the glasses. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good optometrist and high quality glasses. As far as brands go, they carry a lot of different brands, ranging from lower brands to premium ones.

Several years ago I had my hard, multi-focal contacts ordered by an optometrist from their older Avenue Road location. Their service and contacts were great. But my recent eye checkup and new lenses (from same manufacturer) at the merged offices at North York were disappointing. My ability to read is now more difficult and the right lens broke without any mistreatment on my part. I requested for replacement and adjustment (or refund) of these lenses 6 days ago, but so far no word from their North York office as to what they can or cannot do about these lenses. After 3rd attempt (and fitting test), the new contacts now work well. Thus I am updating my rating to 4 stars. I was just not too happy with the delayed response (it was 6 days after my initial email and not because I missed any email). It seems only after I posted this review online that I received better service.

The office atmosphere is very nice. I felt relaxed and "at home". The staff was professional and genuinely friendly. The price points for the frames tend to be at the higher end, but definitely worth it. I was able to look at the available frames and options. The Manager/ Optician Arman, provided exceptional service.

Bought glasses through Gurchet, she is the best Optician! She really knows how to find the perfect fit for you and is always so prompt to answer any questions and to make the experience easy. Definitely recommend!
