Hakim Optical Windsor Techumseh

Very disappointed. First time buying glasses with Hakim. Both my husband and I bought a pair of glasses and sun glasses in December. We had our eye exam there as well. My eye glasses became so loose I returned to have them tightened. When I went I was told no optometrist on site for two days and she looked as my glasses and said the frames were broken. She would order another frame from another location and they would be on site for when I returned in two days. I returned in two days when optometrist was on site. I explained what I was told by the previous worker on the Tuesday. He looked at them n said the frames aren’t broken just loose, I’ll fix them, great. I watched him through the glass window repair them, I saw him make a face then apply lock tight glue. He came out directly placed them immediately on my face and said I was good to go. Thanks I replied and left. Drove a half a block, began to pump gas and within two min of leaving my glasses came apart in the corner of nose piece and hung from my ears. I was in shock. I could not return as I had to be at an appointment elsewhere. I returned the next day and explained to the optometrist what had happened, he said that I would have to pay $167 for a new lens. I said no, I believe the screw was tightened too tight as that is exactly where the lens broke right across the screw. My husband was upset as he had an issue with his once before too. The optometrist told my husband I admitted to dropping them, I said no such thing. This angered my husband as the optometrist had such a rude, arrogant attitude. If I had dropped them shouldn’t there be scratches. None are present. I believe the frames are still under warranty and I do not feel that the onus should b on me to pay for the damaged lens. I am now wearing old glasses which took a while to readjust to. I am very unhappy with Hakim and was given a number to call to complain and they told me they have a protocol in place that they would summit my name to an area manager and they have til 6:00 pm of that day to respond I had not heard a word from Hakim on that date. I again called head office and went through my complaint, I was then told they would relay my complaint and someone would call me from Head Office today. Awaiting that call. Very frustrating.

Great customer service from the second we walked in!! Made getting glasses with my 2 kids an amazing experience!! Had fun trying them all on and when we picked them up they were perfect!! Will come here again in the future!! Thank you for making this such a great experience for us :)

I saw all the ads and I was expecting an incredible selection of eyewear, yet I was stunned when I experienced the very narrow selection, which was mostly for women.

This place offers the best customer service EVER!!! The girl who works here (with nose piercing) is literally the sweetest and most thoughtful staff I've encountered in a while. Definitely recommend!

Best customer service I have ever received! Their insurance billing was instant. I can't wait to pick up my new glasses!
