Bowmanville Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Centre - pt Health

I have been going to Bowmanville Physiotherapy for quite some time now and would be remiss if I did not mention the much-appreciated service of the employees working there. A big thanks to: Nick, Waku, and Tara for their excellent physiotherapy care and kindness (and Rebecca, who’s sadly gone now). Also, to Amanda and Jenn for their great massages and to Ashley at reception whose bright smile, sweetness, and helpful attitude brighten up the place. Thanks to all of them for their consistent professionalism!

Top notch service. Ashley is phenomenal at her job as a receptionist. Always friendly and accommodating and Nick and Waku know their stuff. The rest of the staff are great as well. No complaints.

Small but good and accommodate evening timing

When I showed up for my first appointment, I found out that it was canceled. I was told that they could not get a hold of me. Apparently, when I booked the appointment, someone wrote my number down incorrectly. The second appointment, I had to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time before I could get in to start my assessment. Part-way through the assessment, someone knocked on the door and the physiotherapist answered it, walked out of the room without a word to me and left me there for 5 minutes. He then came back in and picked up where he left off. The third appointment I had to wait 15 minutes after my appointment time before I could see someone and then it was not my physiotherapist, it was someone else - the physiotherapist was working on someone (appeared to me that they had double-booked). At the end of that appointment, I was going on vacation so I booked my next two appointments for two weeks later. When I showed for the first one at 2 pm, the receptionist asked me why I was there. I indicated that I had an appointment at 2 pm as well as a 9 am appointment for the next day. She said that she did not have it in the schedule nor did she have the one for the next day. The physiotherapist was just walking in the door so she told me to take a seat and she would 'see what they could do'. But by that point I had had enough and told them to forget it, I would find somewhere else to get my physio. I find this place unprofessional and unorganized. Even when you are getting a treatment, you don't seem to have their attention, they are talking amongst themselves. So I wasted $150 of my benefits by going to this place. I have now found a much better place that is providing me much better physio as well - completely different type of treatment that makes much more sense for my type of medical issue. I would not recommend this business anyone.

Amazing clinic with amazing people! All the staff are very welcoming which creates a vibrant atmosphere. The physios are very thorough. They truly want to see all their patients progress and get better. I would highly recommend this clinic!
