Both staff members that helped us were very friendly and worked to meet our needs. However, there was only one person on staff on a Saturday afternoon by the airport and they were responsible for picking up people and dropping off people at the airport, working the front desk and bringing cars in and out of the garage for customers. When I arrived there was a line up at the locked door and two more people behind me. It was about a 45 minute wait. I prebooked a Toyota Corolla for fuel economy and got a Chrysler 300S which is a sporty car with a larger engine. The boss, Jason, offered me a 5% discount which equals $3. I called the boss to ask for a better discount. No answer and left a message but never heard back. I gave two stars for the friendly customer service despite the staff being overworked and dealing with angry people and for the clean car. Having said that, I consider this to be a terribly run company and would never consider renting from here again.

A miserable experience. My bad I didn’t heed the reviews. I can certainly say that I will not rent from Ace Car Rental or Discount Car Rental at this location again. As a corporate traveller my time is of value to me. Wait for a shuttle pick up at the airport drive into Leduc to the car lot to pick up the rental. Then if you happen to have an early flight you will need to call a taxi to get to the airport as the shop doesn’t open until 0730. I arrived to drop the vehicle off in the evening and the the attendant must have just left for an airport pickup. So I had to wait another 15 minutes for his return, then wait for him to process the other rentals before taking me to the airport. On the upside the everyone was courteous and professional.

Good experience overall. Surprised though that the company would not accept third party insurance and had to buy Ace own insurance. Otherwise good

This is by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. First, when we landed in Edmonton; it took almost an hour of standing out in the cold before the shuttle bus came and took us to their office. Then they rejected my 3rd party insurance and I had to pay for theirs. And then the icing on the cake...returning the rental by 4.00PM; I saw the office locked and this sign outside the door. It’s not a snow day, or a stat holiday...why on earth would an office that tells you it’s open till 11PM be closed by 4: knowing that their office is in the middle of nowhere and you need the shuttle to get to the airport? In fairness they did upgrade my rental for free when I arrived there cold and visibly upset. But I’d rather have the car I paid for with a smooth pickup and return than this joke of a service-judging by other bad reviews I’m only seeing now, I think the owners should close this company if they’re not ready to run it properly!

All and all pretty good. Had issue with pricing not being what I was originally quoted but young lady at Edmonton location fixed things for me.
