I met the worst customer service last Friday and honestly would never use this rental service again. This location used to be my favorite location in the past few years as the old staff was so helpful and great customer service. I booked on Costco website and drove to this location on 7am with my own car. I showed my Costco black card and asked for an upgrade. BUT the Budget employee refused me rudely and said I have already got the good price thus could not ask more for the free upgrade except I pay for it. Then I showed him the terms on my booking order printed from the Costco website. He still refused it and said he already worked here one year and NEVER got the situations of Costco membership free upgrade. I believe maybe the customers all went to book on AVIS due to Budget's poor service, as my friend got a free upgrade from intermediate to compact SUV with his Costco card on AVIS last week. I was in a hurry and so paid extra $10/day for the upgrade. Then I asked if I could park my own car here. This guy refused me again and gave me the reason of afraid fining by his manager, as I would park my car here for 4 days. I was so so so angry on that morning, as I have to drive my car back to home then came back, and delayed 1.5 hours on that day's trip.

My first experience at this location in June was great, and I am appreciative of the gentleman who helped me. This is why I am not giving 1 star. My second experience at the end of September was not as great. On the day I went to pick up the rental (reserved/ordered by company 2 weeks in advance), the staff member needed to take my credit card, which they have done in the past. She told me that my card was declined and that I would need to call my credit company, which I found to be odd. Still, I was in a rush and to avoid further delay, I called my credit card company onsite. When they confirmed that nothing was wrong with my card, the staff member tried again, and it worked just fine, though this caused a delay in my schedule. This week I was reviewing my e-statement and found that I had been charged ~$200 by Budget, and when I called to follow up, the representative I spoke to let me know that the location had made an error and charged my card instead of the corporate one. While they apologized and were very helpful in resolving the error, this error combined with my physical experience on the day of pickup made my last rental experience less than ideal. Based on my past experience though, I know that this location has the potential to be great!

What a great experience renting a car was from this Budget location. I was upgraded to a Yukon XL which made my trip to Edmonton super comfortable. David was very polite and helpful. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes! Awesome team and super service. Thank you.

If I can rate this location 0 then I would. Mez was nice but wasn’t able to help. Told us to call their national line where they can easily make changes but we were sent back and forth by them. The girl that helped us doesn’t seem to know anything. Made us pay for the winter tires which was an all season tires with a M+S symbol. Go to other rental places they might be more pricey but worth all the trouble that I have experienced. We had a much better experience with Avis across the street, only tried them cause it was cheaper but not worth it AT ALL. Will not come back especially not this location.

Really amazing and great service, staff are so friendly and efficient. I live in downtown and usually visit the downtown location but last time I got my car from this location because of the availability and now on-towards I will only get it from this location. They really went above and beyond.
