Great service here. Once when my friends from Finland’s fight was delayed, but National stayed open so they could get their car. And again for me recently when I experienced prompt friendly service, a great car, and an unexpected ride home.

This company practices shady business and does not do a walk around with you and then bills you for damage and when you dispute the damage they forward your account to collections without your information so it can be reported to the credit bureau. Very sneaky and unprofessional. **Thank you Chris for reaching out to me, the email is rejection when I send the correspondence** and again they have replied with it being my fault that I did not note the damage if it was their even though it was 12 at night in the dark and the agent sent me out alone to the parking lot. There was also no discussion that the rental car is the responsibility of the renter while on your own lot until inspected and the photos of my inspection are not how the vehicle was left nor where it was parked. You also lied about my personal information and advised the collection company I was not to be found even though we had spoken via email and phone and this information was not sent to the collection agency and they reported to my bureau for not being able to reach me? I just picked up another rental car and the agent told me there was nothing wrong with car and when I went to take it out of stall the car had been damaged all over the place. Hence why I do not believe you and this damage was not done by me.

Basically they left us stranded on the side of the road. We had called first thing in the morning to confirm that they could drive us to the duke point ferry after we dropped off the car. We made sure to specify duke point as I knew it was further away. The man on the phone affirmed that if we had the car to them before 11am that they could take us. Sure enough, 10:30 we drop off the car no problem, they drive us to departure bay. I told him we need to go to duke point, he says no we don’t go there. Guy phones his manager and still no. Gives us the option to get out at departure bay or ride back to their office. Stranded either way. If we had known when we called we could have made arrangements. Will never use National again. There are other companies that pride themselves on “picking you up”.

We ended up at National because of horrific customer service at Enterprise. Fiona at the Nanaimo office went above and beyond to help us out, and I was so very grateful. I'm surprised at the many poor reviews for this company... if you end up renting from National, I would advise you ask for Fiona.
