Have rented a car here several times and highly recommend this Enterprise location. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Prices are fair and the cars are nicely clean.

Can confirm what On This Rock said; this place has an issue with renting to women when they’re on their own and don’t have 100 forms of proof. I’m Silver Status because I too have literally spent over a thousand dollars this year renting cars for trips in CA and MA. Never once at any of those locations was I refused service for using a debit card. The funny thing was is that a woman was helping me rent and was going to give it to me anyways since I have positive rental history and proof of my income. That was, until some fat guy came up and told her not to. Avoid this place like the plague ladies unless you have your husband or boyfriend along to act like your dad and rent the car for you. Go elsewhere with your business!

This is the only specific Enterprise in Portland that blocks A WOMAN who has Gold status and has spent thousands of dollars in rentals each year. I am self employed and a doctor, and have numerous clients all over Portland. This particular Enterprise blocked me my reservation, because I did not have proof of a return flight to Seattle, nor did I have proof of employment from an employer. They even INVESTIGATED all my rentals like the ENTERPRISE POLICE and still asked for an employer. Isn't that interesting, how they can ask a WOMAN for her EMPLOYER. I am self employed and am a practicing clinician. They will block someone who makes over 100,000 dollars a year if you don't meet "their criteria (a MAN)". Note: Two men blocking a female for a rental is highly suspicious. I find this highly sexist and misogynistic. Back to HERTZ where I am a President Circle member and am guaranteed a car! Yeah, good luck with your GENDER BIASES. It was VERY OBVIOUS.

Phil was especially helpful. I was late picking up my rental on a Friday night and got there 15 minutes after closing. Phil was finishing up and helped me get in a car for my weekend trip. Not only did he go above and beyond to take care of me, but did so without the slightest bit of annoyance at me coming in after closing. It is pretty bogus that the full coverage costs more than the rental itself, but that is not the fault of this location nor the staff.

Very pleasant and efficient staff got me going quickly; car was as advertised. There were no pushy upsells of insurance, etc. Check-in at the end of the rental was also very quick and pleasant. I'd definitely use this location again when visiting Portland. (Note that rates are much cheaper than at the airport!)
