Our experience with the Avis at Edmonton Airport was a good one. The agents were friendly and helpful. They have a good assortment of vehicles on the lot. Pick up and returns are systematized, smooth, and orderly. They are open late and their location is conveniently just across the street from the airport. They can get pretty busy here which affects the availability of the vehicle of your choice.

Very good service, both pick up and drop off. They don't have the car I initially requested, but they gave me a similar one and adjusted the cost accordingly so I ended up paying less. Dropping off is remarkably efficient. Two staffs checking the car and gave me the receipt in about one minute after I parked the car. Plus they drove me to the departure level right after for me to catch my flight.

We had a good experience with Avis. Service was quick and friendly. Car was ready for us and clean. We had a Ford fusion for our trip to the rockies and it did not give us any trouble. Will definitely recommend others to use Avis for their car rental needs.

Great car selection at the parking lot. However, I could never.get a free upgrade even when there are no pending rentals and the car lot is full. That how they treat Preferred Customers.

Had an all around terrible experience with this car rental company. From the misleading information about credit cards on the phone to the absolute unprofessionalism speaking with the manager. I explained to the first employee that I had just transferred the amount of the deposit on to my credit card but there was delay for the payment to be finalized. So knowing this information the employee told me they only need the credit card number on file just in case. At this point I was given a reservation number and thought all would be well in going to pick up this vehicle. Got a ride to the airport from east of town and was dropped off. I get to Avis Car Rental and was told they could not do anything for me because they need to take a deposite out before taking the vehicle, which makes sense but was not what I was told on the phone. So I told them what I was told on the phone which seemed like they did not believe me. They told me there was nothing they could do. I called Avis Car Rental and asked to talk to the supervisor. I told him exactly what had transpired and what one of his employees told me when I made the reservation. He was very rude and unprofessional. I explained to him that they record calls for quality purposes and to review the call where the employee told me that I didn't need a deposit taken off. I would not have gotten a ride to the airport if I was not told this information. Now stranded at the airport I had to take a cab back across town for 75$ and didnt once get any courtesy from the supervisor. This was probably one of the worst experiences I've had with any kind of customer service.
