We were travelling from edmonton to grande praire and ended up hitting a deer 5km outside whitecourt on saturday night had to stay over night waited all day sunday to rent a vehicle and they wernt open the dispatcher kept saying they would leave a msg and national telephone company said they were suppose to be open until 6 which was really inconvenient so we had to spend another night and found out my insurance wasnt covering the rental so we were gonna pay our self but my bf left his credit card at home and i had a $500 limit on my credit card and they wanted a 1000$ preauth when i overheard another guy got a 500$ pre auth we offered to pay the 1000$ in cash but they refused we only needed to rent the vehicle for the day to get from whitecourt to Grande Prairie they were no help at all would definitely not recommend them.

THIS IS A VERY GOOD PLACE TO RENTAL A CAR OR A TRUCK TOO.

Charged close to a $1,000 to go to Edmonton. I gotta give it to them they sure have price gouging down! 4 more rentals like mine and they will be able to pay off the car I used

I had to rent a vehicle from National Car Rental as it is the only car rental place near Whitecourt or Fox Creek. I was very disappointed in the service that I received upon returning the vehicle. I had taken the vehicle to the gas station next to the rental place and put gas into the vehicle until it would take no more. Then I took the vehicle back to the rental place and the sales clerk went to check the vehicle she had come back and said that the tank was not full, I explained to her that I filled it till it took no more gas, she proceeded to tell me that I could go back to the station to try to fill it more or that they could fill it for 3 cents a litre, I told her that it would not take anymore gas for me and that they could try to fill it. They said the would email me a receipt the next day, when I left there they made me feel frustrated. When I received my email for the invoice, I found out that they charged me $3. a litre and that they were able to add 15.67 litres to an already full vehicle that they charged me $47.01 for when I already put in $45. the night before which is a total of $92.01 that it cost me to fill up a vehicle with a half of tank of gas when I filled it up. This is not right I feel that this company had overcharged me on the gas and that there was no way that the vehicle had taken anymore that $5 worth after I was done filling it up. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you have money to burn, they will overcharge you as well as make you feel very uncomfortable. If I ever need another rental I will pay the extra kilometers and drive to Edmonton or Grande Prairie, and I will rent from another company other than National Car Rental
