AMAZING service and help when I was in an accident and "stranded" in Red Deer, while crossing the country and several provinces from home. Not only did they help me for a couple hours, to phone out to other dealers in the direction I was still supposed to be headed, they were able to make things work to get me in a vehicle that would accommodate us as best we could! I can not say enough positive words for the way that they were able to make this awful situation doable again for my family and for the fabulous service that we received throughout! My Thanks as well!!

Not 1, not 2, but 3 problems that made our rental less than pleasant. If you rent be sure to examine every square inch of the car with a magnifying glass and note any and all imperfections as damage or they will try to charge you. A few tiny specs on windshield... most ppl would never even notice without severe scrutiny and they tried to claim damage. I was extremely careful on highway to avoid other cars in front of me and did not hear a single rock hit the windshield, so we believe these miniscule specles on the windshield were already present at pickup. After much arguing back and forth, and claiming this is petty and unreasonable they finally relented and agreed not to charge. Also tried to trick me into paying for Unlimited mileage when it was not needed - when i booked on phone (not sure if that was the RD branch or central booking) line the CS agent said the 300kms was for the entire 3 day trip, not per day (i even asked a 2nd time to confirm) - it turns out the contract says per day, so the additional $$ for unlimited mileage was not necessary for our ~700 km trip. Staff is either untrained, or they are trained to lie - either way results in problems. Thirdly they tried to claim that my credit card's car rental insurance was not valid for collision. I came prepared with a copy of my cardholder agreement outlining the car rental coverage and they still questioned the wording. After holding firm and insisting this was very standard car rental insurance (costco mastercard) they backed down. I honestly cannot tell if this is due to a complete lack of training, utter incompetence, or if they are trained to purposely try to rip consumers off with unneeded charges. Possibly a combination of all the above. Truly a disappointing experience.
