****EDIT**** National has made this 100% right, they just by reading this review reached out to me and cleared everything up perfectly. Thank you very much for making an even not so great experience a good one in the end. It was not a very good experience this time around, I haven't reached out but National sent an email asking for a review so maybe they will monitor this. I tried on multiple devices to book my rental on the mobile website but could not enter a return date, and it would not allow me to continue without entering a return date. Then I downloaded the app and when I tried to make my booking it wouldn't let me use my free day. So I decide to wait until I arrived to deal with the counter, the person at the counter said that is to bad you have to make a reservation to use the free day. So by this time I walked out to the executive aisle grabbed a car and got ready to leave. The lady at the booth was very helpful and tried her best to get us a good deal, but the price was $200 for 6 hours vs when I was going to reserve it 2 hours earlier it was going to $140. It was not a very good experience but I just wanted to go home and didn't have time to argue about it, my bad. My plan is to reach out and discuss this with someone I just haven't had the opportunity yet. Beyond that, the car was nice, minus the french fries in the door. The rental process was easy and moved quickly. The lady in the booth was very nice and the person receiving the car on return was efficient and good.

Love using National as a car rental. Their emerald isle is the best idea ever and all their staff have been very helpful and friendly. Best car rental service I've ever used.

My first time renting a car and had a corporate rate through National so I decided to just give it a shot. I’ve heard plenty of bad experiences with various rental companies from friends and family but I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my rental experience with National. Conveniently located inside the airport for easy pick up and drop off. Staff were kind and efficient. No hassles whatsoever while picking up and dropping off. Would definitely rental again through them again :)

Always have a good selection of vehicles. Emerald club makes me feel like a baller so I would recommend you sign up. Prices are reasonable as well.

My usual experience w/ National Car Rental is great. I'm an Emerald Member so I do like the perks of walking up to a vehicle and drive out to check out. My recent experience, I rented a vehicle for a month, the car was dirty and it's my fault but I should have did a walk around the vehicle before taking it. I needed a larger vehicle and was in a bit of a rush so literally picked the first vehicle I found. I called in to inform them about the few dings and the dirtiness of the vehicle. When returning the vehicle, I was asked about the ding but was not penalized for something I didn't do. No mention of the dirtiness of the vehicle. Vehicle's dashboard was very dirty, there was some sticky substance on the passenger side door and how I really know the vehicle wasn't cleaned was there was a boarding pass from a previous customer in the glove box. Agent that assisted me checking out the vehicle was quick and courteous. I had a free upgrade coupon on my reservation but because I was a Emerald member and I didn't really use the upgrade, he removed it from my reservation to use at a later time. Returning the vehicle was more thorough than I was used to. Was questioned about the ding on the passenger side door but no fuss was made. Overall still a great rating, just be sure to fully clean the vehicle prior to putting it on the lot for the next customer. thanks
