I recently used Thrifty Car Rental at the Edmonton International Airport in mid-August. As the initial service was great, the return wasn't so smooth. I left an item in the car and I knew where it was. Filed a lost item report within 1 hour as well as called the service at the airport. Nobody returned my call or responded to my email inquiry within 5 days so I filed another lost item report. I never heard from anyone until over two weeks later I decided to make a phone call. The agent I spoke told me they would look into the issue and get back to me. They never got back to me and I called another agent the following week, over 1 month later. They actually happened to locate my item and they helped get the item sent back to me. Your lost item report system never replied to my inquiry and I had to take further steps to resolve the issue. The customer service was poor and if it wasn't for me going the extra mile to locate my lost headphones I would have never gotten them back. I am very disappointed in the effort and lengths I had to go to even though I followed all initial steps for item recovery. For this reason I no longer recommend thrifty to friends and family and I am skeptical about using the service again in the future.

Be very careful about their car and your deposit. At the counter the representative offered me to sign car inspection report prior any inspection.

Be extremely alert with this Thrifty /Dollar location! They charged me extra one day after I left. I can't reach anyone with phone to reverse it. Literally there is no customer service at all. I can't spend hours to reach someone, so I decided to warn others.
