Staff were friendly and extremely helpful to get us on our way. Car was clean, ready and full of fuel. Returning the car was just as easy as the pick up.

We expected to rent a Toyota Corolla but we were given a Hyundai Elantra. The staff said we would have to wait for one to be cleaned but they didn't know when one would be available. When we went into the full parking lot we didn't see one Toyota. We could have gone with other companies that we cheaper but went to Hertz because it had the car we wanted. They get away with this false advertising because of 'or similar '.

TRASH! Car was filthy inside, had trouble seeing out the window at night. Lady at return desk told me it's because of renovations beside the parking lot, HAHAHA. That's great excuse but I think it's your responsibility to clean the inside of the car! Brakes were very squeaky and differentiator was way off. They told me next time a car is like that just bring it right back, as if it was my fault for noy spending one of my 3 days in the city driving all the way up to the airport and messing around with your understaffed employees to get the expected quality that i paid for in the first place?! TRASH. Absolute TRASH. Never ever again

They came through with the type of vehicle I needed. Some times have to be firm and make sure they understand your needs. Usual modern world stuff of rushed and inexperienced staff.

The guy we met when we picked up our car was great. He asked if we wanted to buy insurance, and we did. During our trip, I realized that our travel insurance covered the car rental also. When we returned the car a different guy with a Caribbean accent said he couldn't refund the insurance we bought separately with Hertz, which I could understand. My mistake. I have to ask, right? But the guy actually laughed at me when I did ask. If his goal was to make me feel stupid, I already did and this just made it worse. If his goal was to provide good customer service, he missed by a mile. I'll likely go with a different rental company next time.
