Don't trust these people.
Rented for a day on a Saturday. They close at 4pm on Sunday.
Was running late and called about 1.5 hours before closing to ask what is their policy if I'm late.
Was told that if I was a few minutes late - 5 or 10 minutes - that they would take the return as long as the computers were still able to connect. The agent was very careful to explain this.
I was grateful as I was only calling to ask for their policy.
We arrived at 4:01. Door was locked. But the lights were on and it seems unlikely that no one was there since they closed 60 seconds before. We knocked on the door several times. No response. Called but no one answered the phone. Tried both things several times and then left.
The next day when I returned the car I asked to speak with someone. The fellow said, "You can speak with me." I explained what had happened. He said he would, "Check the tapes and I'd hear from him." I never heard from anyone. Phoned the next day. Was told someone would call me back. No one called.
I would never, ever rent from a place that operates this way.
If I had been told that returning after 4, even by a minute, was no allowed I would have been fine with that.
Promising to extend a service and then not doing so, and then now following up on a customer's complaint stinks.
Rent from someone else. Never, ever. Never.
