DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE! I wish i could leave no stars. Its sad really that this place is still operating. Of course they dont have the car i paid for 3 weeks in advance, why would they. Others in line dont have a car either, but they are being offered an upgrade for no additional charge, not me though. I just get the amazing opportunity to hang around a one room airport for as many hours as it takes them. I ask how "how long is the wait?", she said "about 30 minutes". With some humor left in me I asked "how long does that really mean, 1.5 hours?" She laughed at me and said no. Here it is over an hour later, and nothing. I ask whats up, "they are washing it" she says. At this point I'm learning that based on their attitude that I'm the one thats being annoying. Im the one being annoying? Im not a frequent traveller so maybe this is normal, i dont know. How does a car rental company run out of cars when they know 3 weeks in advance they need it. They must have spent all their money on advertising. Terrible service.

This is hands down the worst National Car Rental experience I have ever had. This location is not a corporate site, so they don't follow all the same rules. For example, when you go onto the National app to rent a car and select a "Full Size" car you have an expectation what you will receive. When you arrive at the Kalispell airport and get your vehicle, you find out that this location "is not a corporate" location so they don't have the same classifications as corporate so you get a lesser car even though the expectation set by the corporate website was different. Then, there is the issue where they won't accept direct billing, so you have to personally pay for everything even though there is somebody WILLING TO PAY the bill. They literally turned down a company paying a bill in order to have an individual pay it. What's the difference?!?! I only gave this one star because you have to. If I could give less I would have.

They were able to find an expensive electronic device I left in a rental car and sent it back to me immediately. Class act, thanks for the help!

Absolutely the worst car rental experience I have ever had. From start to finish, the staff made sure that every little thing was as inconvenient as possible for us. I was rear-ended and my car was totaled, so my family needed a car until we figured out what we were going to do about a new car. We called ahead to make sure that everything would be a smooth check-in. The staff told us that our insurance would cover everything and that we did not need a credit card. When we got there, I dropped my dad off, assuming that he could just check in and drive away as we were told he would. The very rude attendant, Zera, insisted that he did need a major credit card. Dad had to call me to return so that I could provide the card. He came outside to meet me and get the card. When he returned, Zera had "gone outside to shuffle around cars" and we waited for twenty minutes in a completely empty, not busy airport, for her to return. He asked her why she left and she flatly repeated "I thought you left," even though everything had been discussed in her presence. Finally, we got the car and we able to drive away. The next day, Dad was driving into town and got a flat tire in the car. He put the donut on the car and called National the next day about the tire. The manager, Steph, explained that reprocessing his information and getting a new rental car would cost fees and that it would save us money if we just took the tire and got it repaired outself. ARE THEY SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?! Dad did take the tire in and they said it was not repairable. The entire staff was completely useless and the whole experience has been a disaster. We are taking the car back tomorrow, hopefully this story doesnt get worse!!!
