The missus and I travelled from Toronto to Halifax to visit friends and have a mini weekend vacation (May 3). I did some price shopping beforehand and AVIS was our best option. I prepaid for a basic sedan ("Chevrolet Impala or similar") with no GPS or fancy gadgets (with unlimited mileage) about a week in advance. After we landed I received an (automated) email welcoming us to Halifax and that the keys for a "White Ford Escape" is waiting. Although the email was automated it put a smile on our faces. Nice touch, AVIS. And the shiny new white Ford SUV with full navigation infotainment included was a pleasant upgrade (especially since white is my girlfriends favorite car color). The staff at the counter were friendly and inviting. The car was spotless inside and out, with a full tank. All we had to do was show my drivers license, grab the keys and go. The car had zero issues over the 4 days we had it. Returning the car was even easier than the pick up. Before we were even out of the car they were standing by the car with final receipt in hand and wishing us a good flight. I would definitely recommend AVIS at Halifax Airport! Thanks for helping us to have an enjoyable trip.

The counter staff were friendly, the line was short, the car was clean and easy to return to Avis. No complaints about any part of the process.
