Charles, Justin and Peter were excellent to deal with. My request for snow tires was fulfilled and I had a choice of vehicles with the tires. So friendly and the gentleman who checked us in was also very friendly. Fast service. Will use again.

Be careful at this location! Normally Budget is awesome, we use Budget across North America 6 to 10 times per year because of the Fastbreak service, but this location is a little sketchy honestly. They didn't have the class of vehicle we reserved so the lady working tried to up-sell us into the next class of vehicle at literally TWO TIMES the daily rate we had booked! We politely declined, she then tried to give us a car in one class LOWER than what we had booked AT THE SAME RATE! We said no chance, not our fault you don't have the car we reserved. She finally agreed to give us a mini van, which we didn't really want but needed a vehicle. Then of course we get the insurance pitch, and it was a hard pitch - no thank you. Then, of all things she tries to sell us ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE! Are you kidding me? I would think that if I rent a vehicle and it breaks down, the rental car company would at the very least come and deal with it. The best part of the story is this lady put a $350.00 hold on my credit card, and the entire rental after taxes was only $71.86. When I called to question this they told me it's normal for the hold to be more than the rental - even though this has never been the case for me with Budget in the past. Overall horrible experience at this location, not in line with what we are used to dealing with Budget. Take the Fastbreak sign down, this is NOT a Fastbreak location! I have filed a complaint with Budget, but I'm guessing I will get the corporate "we are sorry for your inconvenience, your comments will help us serve you better in the future". Well if you want my business in the future Budget, best you deal with this situation first.

Awesome service last weekend at Budget in Halifax airport. I accidentally booked the wrong day and the very friendly staff fixed my reservation asap. Special thanks to Peter for that! The BMW was super fun to drive.

Staff was great, easy drop-off. Only downside was I got upgraded due to unavailability of car size I booked and it ended up costing me about 30% more in fuel than it would have (I drove around 1000km for this particular trip). It was nice to have the extra room but not sure I would have paid the extra fuel costs to get it. However, in most cases getting upgraded if your km is low would be positive.

The customer service rep was very helpful. Suggested a small upgrade fee to get a slightly bigger vehicle which was a great idea. We only had a small glitch with the GPS due to duplicate address. Other than that, I would definitely rent from this Budget again
