TERRIBLE FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE!!! We made a reservation 3 days before the scheduled date and time to pick up the car. Got a confirmation number, instructions and everything. On the date and time that we need to pick up the car. The pick up shuttle bus is late so we gave them a call. They just told us that the car that they reserved for us "broke down" and is not available. And just told us that they are sorry and can't provide us a car. They didn't recompense us, they just left us there without help. NEVER BOOK A RESERVATION OR RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE!

A shockingly terrible experience. Booked through car rentals and until arriving, I was not made aware that this kiosk is not even at the Pearson airport. It’s several miles away and therefore requires taking a train to a shuttle pickup location. Wasn’t made aware that I needed to make a shuttle reservation so I attempted to call for 45 minutes but never was able to reach anyone. About 5 people also at the shuttle location who were as confused as me. Ended up taking a cab to the agency to find about 12 people in line in front of me and 5 people who have been there for over 2 hours waiting for a car. Oh, and just 1 person working the desk. So, I wait in line for 45 minutes, they get through about 3 people and finally we’re all told that they have 0 cars and are unsure when or if at all they will acquire cars. I’m literally behind 15 people who all don’t have cars. I waited around about 1.5 hours total until realizing a car never came for a single person. Ended up taking a very expensive cab to my friends wedding. Avoid at all costs, no amount of cost savings is worth this experience.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The fact that myself and at least 20 other customers didn't actually get a rental car will inform most of this review... I had booked a car for my girlfriend's birthday, the rental company was located off airport and a shuttle bus was meant to pick us up and take us to the rental company. After waiting an extra 30 minutes, and not being able to connect with anybody in the office we decided to take a taxi to the office. When we arrived we were met with around 20 people, some of whom had already been waiting for longer than an hour. We were told that they had no cars available for any of these people and every time we tried to talk to a member of staff from discount cars, they were dismissive, rude, and walked away from us quickly. They didn't seem to care at all about the customers they were letting down and refused to take any responsibility. When my girlfriend phoned ace cars to try and rectify the situation, she was told by a customer service representative that it was nothing to do with them and that discount cars needed to sort it, before hanging up on her. Despite having a reservation confirmation number, we waited for over an hour, I had to cancel the plans I had made for my girlfriend's birthday, and we left with no car and having to get an uber home. The shuttle bus didn't leave the parking lot the entire time, we saw others arriving via taxi and when we demanded that they return us to the airport, one member of staff told us to go and ask the nearby hotel if they had a shuttle bus we could use. Absolutely awful service, a ruined birthday and not one apology from anyone. The deposit has not been returned and because we had to cancel the plans we had we also lost that deposit. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
