Worst rental company, Zero reliability and Zero customer service Booked a car online, and got a confirmation call that everything is ready, and when I went no car and the office was closed even 20 mins before its time :) funny! and complaints to their customer care , no one care and didn't do any action for more than 2 weeks really dump place!

There is no manned kiosk in the station. All they have is a machine that connects you to an agent. No cars were available when i contacted them. Next available car was 1 week away.

Do not rent here. They are running a “bait and switch” scam. The will take your reservation and send you a confirmation email, but there are no cars available for rent here. Instead, 45 minutes after your pickup time an employee will arrive and take you to Bell’s Corners where they might have a car for you to rent. If your destination is Bell’s Corners that results in you only being 45 minutes late, but if you are headed downtown, east or south you will be 90 minutes late.

Absolutely brutal. Have you seen the Seinfeld episode on car rentals? It nails discount car rental on the head. They can take a reservation, they just can't hold a reservation. Holding the reservation is the key to the process. When you make a reservation that means the car should be there at the agreed pick up time. Well not at Discount. No, no. They didn't have a car. I made the reservation about 3 weeks in advance, got an email confirmation, got a phone call 2 days before to get a verbal confirmation. On rental day? NO CAR!!!!! Apparently there were no cars, "people didn't return them" we were told. Not only that, our reservation was a for pick up and drop off at the Ottawa airport. We found out that doesn't mean the car, that meant us! They don't have a kiosk at the airport like the real car rental companies! Lesson learned, never again! We came to Ottawa from the west coast, we didn't get a rental car from discount. They did call us 3 hrs after our 'confirmed' pick up time and say the "might have a truck available". Fortunately we have friends that went way out of their way to help us out. Read the reviews and heed the warnings, this is not a reputable company. It might work out for you if you decide to risk it but if it's a busy weekend in a city, it just might not. I'll give the staff on the phone a pat on the back though. The guy I was talking to was friendly and knew what he was up against. I don't think he'll stick around that company for long...I know I wouldn't.

Terrible service!! Not worth the waste of time. Went through the online rental process nearly 3 weeks in advance, only to find that on arrival (for an 8 am pickup) the location wasn't open until 8:45. Upon calling the customer service line, we were told to wait 'until it opens'. After waiting outside for 45 minutes, we were told by a representative that they didn't have a car for us. They were going to have someone from a nearby location pick us up... Within the next 1-2 hours...I am still waiting to be picked up as I type this. This level of service is absolutely unacceptable.
