They did not have the economy car i reserved or any car at all. the only vehicle in the lot was a giant Ford Transit moving truck. My VISA won't cover insurance for a moving truck so that was an additional cost i wasn't expecting. The Discount staff member made some price adjustments so that my total including insurance would be about $10 more than the $63.44 quoted in my reservation. He also arranged for me to be able to return the van empty without being charged. I really didn't want to be driving such a ridiculously large vehicle but at 5:45pm on a Friday i was out of other options. The next day the branch was closed at my return time. I needed to hold onto the key until they reopened on Monday morning (no key drop box here). The extra visit was an imposition but i figured it would be worth it since the rental agreement was complicated and the staff member said he would be there to close the agreement at that time. He was not there. And the staff member who was there was not authorized to close the agreement. When my VISA was debited a few weeks later the charge came to $174.31. can't get through on the phone. Rental date was July 6, 2018

Horrible service. Booked a car a week in advance, show up early to find out our car isn't there and that they have no other cars. Got told to come back in an hour or closer to our booked reservation time and that they should have our car. We come back as instructed and the person ( Kevin) was no longer at the shop. He had left and left us his coworker to deal with us. We then got told that they had no cars for us and could not help us. Leaving us to scurry and find another company to rent from last minute to drive to a wedding. With no compensation or any sort of apology from anyone at discount we ended up going to National and got amazing service. Never going to rent from Discount ever again.

This is the WORST service I have ever had. I rented a cargo van for two days but when I showed up at the location they didn't have anything for me, I waited nearly an hour while the clerk attempted to get me a truck from another location. Finally, a 16-foot cube van was given to me at the same price. Before leaving the clerk apologized and told me he would give me a discount upon my return. As I was leaving another customer showed up and parked in front of the truck, I was about to leave with and the clerk told me I had to wait again for him to check out the other customer, needless to say, my patience was taking a toll...Upon return, a day early, the same clerk greeted me upon arrival and checked out the truck and told me everything was fine, he wrote on a piece of scrap paper and got me to sign it and said he was going to send me an email of my receipt. 2 weeks later and a few phone calls since then to remind about sending my receipt I just got charged my original charge of 80$ even though I brought back a day early AND waited beyond an hour when I arrived. Quite frankly, I will never rent from Discount Car and Truck Rental again. I rent a lot of cars and trucks for work and personal use and never have I been treated this way, this unacceptable. If you're looking for exceptional service please go Enterprise-Rent-a-car just a block over!

Can confirm the other reviews noting the terrible service at this location. I booked a cargo van online several weeks ago through the Discount website for my move on September 1st. Received a call a week prior to my move (and several weeks after making the booking online) that the location no longer would have a cargo van available for me. It's now way too close to the date to book elsewhere - no other company has any cargo vehicles available since September 1st is a popular moving date - and I need a large vehicle for my mattress etc. I am now left without options for my move. Will never rent from Discount again based on this experience.
