Called in to ask what the rates were because I’m in a bit of a jam and need something moved today, the man who answered the phone was much too rude right off the bat. First concern is I called a business number not a personal phone number so I expect to be treated like a customer not like some friend who’s called you too early and you’re annoyed with. Second concern is that when I asked the rates the man goes “Hahaha I’ll tell ya but you’re not going to like it” in a way that was hinting the prices were too high for me. I get it; over the phone I sound like a small child but the fact he even said that was astonishing to me. Very poor business skills, happy I didn’t waste my money on these services. Wish I had read the reviews before hand because I never would have called them and I suggest you don’t either if you’re thinking about it. There’s always a better moving company ☺️

About as bad as it gets. The man that runs the organization has terrible customer service and treats customers like we are problems to him. He went over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb looking for scratches (there were none.) He charged an extra $25 to mop out the bed (ridiculous) and then tried to overcharge on his mileage by 50kms (I caught his bad math.) Had I read the reviews above I would have never rented from him. Save yourself some drama and rent from someone reputable.

So I called in today to get a quote for some moving services I require. This arrogant pick who calls himself the owner was so aggressive and unwilling to listen to my needs before offering a solution that he wants to push on me is not how you do business in a small town. He was so bad that I said mid call..."you must be the owner cause no one in their right mind would treat a potential new client this way" I gave him a brief verbal lesson on expectation but was answered with excuses and lip service...Certainly not the kinda guy you want to trust with your items. Look online...I'm not the only bad review...DayStar is weak and unprofessional. Lets see if he chooses to debate this online...Then you'll see what I saw...Prick!! I will find their competitor and go there :)

Read all the other reviews. The are accurate based on my experience. I'll add that the rental truck I had felt unsafe and I got pulled over by the police who did a lengthy exam of the vehicle at the road side to ensure it was fit for the road. It took me over 45 mins to get my rental truck. Anytime I've been to Ryder or U-Hull its been less than 10 mins. I was waiting at the door at 8:30am and the guy shows up at 8:40am and I am greeted with, "You're here for???" with lots of attitude. No apology for being late, even when I called the day before and stated the time I would be there. Never again would I use this company and like everyone else who wrote a review I cannot recommend them at all.

Seemed like we made a good choice when I hired Daystar to move my family. The owner seemed friendly and knowledgeable. After reading and hearing a couple of bad reviews I began to worry. When I initially interviewed Dave, we had asked him the "what if's" I was told not to worry cause his staff has been with his company for over 20 years and they are very careful and in the event that damage does happen Daystar would make it right. Well how wrong that statement is. His crew consisted of three men, two of them where only 20years old (according to my math they we're only little babies when they got hired) and after I talked to the third gentleman to find out he only has worked for Daystar for 7 years. None the less the crew did work hard and carefully for the most part. unfortunately they did break 2 tiles in the hallway of the house that I had sold by dropping a fridge. There also scratch the wall while trying to get the couches down the stairs. When I talked to Dave about how we were going to take care of the tiles, he told me that its my problem not his. Tells me he can't be responsible for that kind of damage. Very disappointed in this response cause I try my hardest to give my business to local companies knowing that it helps our town. Unfortunately I can NOT recommend this company due Dave's poor attitude.
