Rochester Avis is the best I've had recently as far as rental car experiences go. I picked up after midnight without a hitch and the agent was on duty. The car was great. And drop off took less than 3 minutes and I was at the terminal going to my gate. It doesn't get better than that. Thank you Rochester staff.

This was my first time renting from Avis and it will be my last. When I went to pick up my rental there was no one at the counter and I stood there for 10 minutes looking for someone. I ended up having to ask another Associate for help. She went to get the Avis associate. After the long process of checking in. They gave me a Buick Encore when I was expecting a Chevy or similar. The Buick was A LOT smaller than a Chevy or similar. I ended up going back to the associate to upgrade because I needed more space. They charged me $30 a day for the upgrade which I think it completely unfair. How can you compare a Buick Encore to a Chevy Tahoe? I should have gotten the Chevy from the start. Returning the vehicle was fairly easy. The only thing is I was late returning form my trip and returned the vehicle first thing in the morning. I originally planned to return it the night before at 11pm. Avis charged me a full day for returning it that morning. I understand the late fee; however to be charged a whole day is ridiculous. I was not satisfied with this experience at all.

I am beyond disappointed with my experience and will never use Avis again. My reservation was booked and paid for last week. When I arrived I was told that I could not use my debit master card even though the charge was already withdrawn from my account. The reps at the counter offered no solutions to my problem. I called customer service who offered me a car at another location for TWICE the price! This is a bait and switch of the worst kind. In addition, this was for a corporate mtg and I will be passing the feedback to our company travel dept. Never again.

Always use avis it is the best rental company but Even with avis preferred to return a car at night you must wait in line just for the agent to ask how many miles are on the car took 15 min to return a car
